The Exultet in Latin and English

The Exultet from the Easter Vigil--a beautiful prayer sung in English:

and sung in Latin by Father John Zuhlsdorf (check out his very worthwhile blog here):

Peter Kreeft: 7 Reasons Everyone Should Be Catholic

There are some people in this world that make you feel smarter just for having listened to them speak.  Peter Kreeft is one of them.  A graduate of Calvin College and a convert to Catholicism from Calvinism, his talks are easily some of the best I've found.

In this talk he discusses "Seven Reasons Everyone Should Be Catholic".  Listen in and feel smarter....

Bishop Jenky: Men's March Homily

Bishop Jenky of Peoria made headlines a couple weeks ago with this homily delivered on April 16 to a Men's Conference.

Here are a couple of the "big-money" quotes:
May God have mercy especially on the souls of those politicians who pretend to be Catholic in church, but in their public lives, rather like Judas Iscariot, betray Jesus by how they vote and how they willingly cooperate with intrinsic evil.
The days in which we live now require heroic Catholicism, not casual Catholicism.  We can no longer be Catholics by accident, but instead be Catholics by conviction.
We must be a fearless army of Catholic men, ready to give everything we have for the Lord who gave everything for our salvation.

The One True Faith, Episode 3: Hell

Michael Voris is hard-hitting.  He pulls no punches, minces no words and dabbles not in the tepid pool of political correctness.  Like him or not, his style is refreshing in a world where so many people (especially in terms of religion) are reluctant to take a firm stance on any position.

In this audio clip from his television show, The One True Faith, Voris deals with the Christian (traditional) concept of Hell.

It's worth a listen--and even if you disagree or take offense at some of Voris' statements, hang in there, it's a great clip.

Father John Riccardo: The Sacrament of the Eucharist

Father John Riccardo discusses the Eucharist, its historic and biblical roots and how a return to faith in the Real Presence of Christ in the Eucharist is essential.

This is a great introduction into the Catholic concept of the Eucharist as well as a bit of an apologetic.

Destroying Marriage and the Family

Divorce, the devaluation of marriage and women, birth control, abortion, the breakdown of the family . . . in this 27 minute sermon, an unidentified* Catholic priest addresses all of these issues and how the Culture of Death is making every effort to destroy the basic building block of society: the family.

*According to the website hosting this audio, the priest is unidentified because he has duties and responsibilities to care for the souls of the Faithful entrusted to him. By remaining unidentified, his attention for his flock won't be divided by folks outside of his parish who might seek him out for questions rather than going to their local priests. Moreover, the message he happens to be preaching -- the Catholic Faith -- is what is important, not the human being who is preaching it.
